Day 1 in New York Sunday

Sunday morning ride on the subway down to Greenwich Village. After a stop for coffee it was a short walk to Washington Square. Amazing place especially the guy playing a grand piano.

Another walk this time to Bleeker Street. A stop for Matthew to buy a new hat – look out for it in future photos. Then on to Hudson Street to find The White Horse Tavern, a haunt of Dylan Thomas and various beat poets. We didn’t see them but we did get talking to some guys who were in town from New Jersey and Maryland.

Our next stop was Union Square to visit The Strand book shop. If your ever in New York worth a visit not your average book store.
