Manic Street Preachers

Venue: Corn Exchange

Date : Thursday 3rd April

A family night out to see the Manic Street Preachers. The second time we have seen them in a year. We last saw them at Festival No 6 in Wales. That time we were at the front so this time we had to get just as close. We did – not quite the front – but close enough.

The support act were ok – Twilight Saga. The lead singer reminded me of Ian Curtis from Joy Division.

The Manics didn’t disappoint playing a mixture of old and new songs. The two songs they played from their new album sound very interesting – it’s out in June. Loved hearing the tracks from Rewind the Film. James did an acoustic set which was excellent and included Sullen Welsh Heart.
