Pleasance Press Launch

The Pleasance Press launch was a showcase of some of the acts on at the Pleasance venue. This post is a review of the acts we saw.

Missing – physical dance theatre Gecko. The part we saw involved dance, puppets and physical theatre. Ok but didn’t appeal to any of us

Venue: Pleasance Grand Time: 12pm, 1pm

Blam! – silent movie theatre. The clip we saw was impressive use of office chairs and post it notes. Impressive but not on our must see list.

Venue: Pleasance Grand Time: 5.55pm

Nick Helm: One Man Mega Myth – comedy. Lots of swearing and insulting of the audience. Torn between this being him or an act. Funny but not impressed enough to go and see him.

Venue: Pleasance Courtyard, Forth Time: 4pm

Slightly Fat Features – juggling, escapology and comedy. This made us all laugh – Eleanor and Terry going to see it on Monday.

Venue: Pleasance Courtyard, Pleasance One Time : 5.50pm

Colin Hoult: Characthorse – character comedy – funny but not appealing.

Venue: Pleasance Courtyard, Upstairs Time: 6pm

Joe Lycett – compere of the event – stand up comic. Worth seeing if we get a chance.

Venue: Pleasance Courtyard, Upstairs Time: 7.15pm
