Here are some highlights of places we had lunch.
American Museum of Natural History – ate in their main food court – lots of good choice hot and cold very busy when we went as it was Spring Break on a cold day. Many families were saving seats before getting their food.
Food Court at Grand Central Station – grabbed a quick bite to eat at the food court at Grand Central station – we all had a hot dogs. No seats so had to stand at a table.
American Table at Lincoln Center – when we collected our tickets for the opera we stumbled across this restaurant. Lovely casual dining experience – order at bar then served at table – Terry and I had biscuits and ham lovely. Not cheap but worth a visit not a tourist restaurant though locals – good for people watching.
PJ Clarkes Lincoln Center – after lunchtime opera we had a late lunch at PJ Clarkes. After a short wait we got a corner table. The serve and food were excellent. Eleanor had Mac and Cheese with bacon, Matt a burger, Terry chilli and I had fish and chips in newspaper. All amazing and plates cleared. Matt and Eleanor had dessert – chocolate brownie.
MOMA cafe – another late lunch. After a walk around part of MOMA we had lunch at MOMA cafe. Great food but not much for the children to eat, especially Matt. He got a salt ham platter which the rest of us ended up eating.
Court Square Diner Long Island City – after a walk around 5 Ptz we went here for lunch. Another stumble upon. Great American diner with food to match – service and food excellent!
