Royal Mile and Start of the Fringe

Today was another day spent on the Royal Mile. We had downloaded a Treasure Trail and went about finding answers to clues to identify the killer in the murder mystery. On the way we stopped at The Writers Museum – a lovely little museum with work by Burns, Scott and Stevenson. We went onto the Castle esplanade where we sat and ate ice cream. We also went into Gladstones Land in the Lawn Market.

As today was the beginning of some of the fringe shows Edinburgh is starting to have a buzz about it. There are more street entertainers. We stopped in the Royal Mile to watch one who is good. We had tickets for David O’Doherty’s first show at The Pleasance. Due to technical issues earlier in the day the shows were running late so we were over 30 minutes late getting into the venue. It was worth waiting for – we all enjoyed it.
