Eating Out

As we are staying in hotels this holiday we are eating out for every meal – apart for our picnic at Avebury! Not all the meals have been great. Thursday when we were in Tetbury we stopped for coffee – not the best and they charged £1.50 for a glass of tap water. After we had finished the treasure trail we had lunch in Tetbury – it was ok but despite us asking for a child portion for Matthew they brought an adult portion and charge us for it. These might seem minor problems but they all add up.

After a trip to Cheltenham to see Terry’s mum in hospital we drove back to Chippenham looking for something to eat. We stopped in Malmesbury with out any luck so we continued on. We saw a sign for The Vine Tree so we followed the signs. It was a great end to the day the food was excellent.

In Birmingham, we found an excellent family restaurant for dinner on Saturday night, The Handmade Burger Company. If you are near one of their restaurants check them out.

After years of having problems of getting Matthew to eat anything apart for chicken nuggets or pizza, he is eating a wider more now – though not many vegetables – he is eating from the main menu now rather than children’s menu. He is a growing boy!
